These are always a very rewarding challenge. Anytime I'm working with a subject that someone else loves and is very familiar with, the challenge for me is to not only make a likeness, but put something on that paper or canvas that captures the essence of the subject. I want more that just 'That look like Dad.' I want 'Wow, that's Dad alright, you can even see that mischievous twinkle in his eye!"
