Upcycling Projects
Before and after photos of other stuff I'm working on.
My great friends Ray and Becky made lots of these all-purpose containers from wood they rescued from the trash can. I love mine and have used them for a couple of years to plant herbs in. I finally decided that they needed a little TLC if they were going to last many more years like I hope they will!
Now they help grow my basil and oregano (the oregano hasn't popped it's first leaves above the wood yet though)! Again with the orange - I love it paired with the green/blue mixture. date: 7/09
This little cutie was rescued from the local dumpster. Who could throw it away? It just needs a little love!
Look now! It can be used for a hundred things...it currently cradles my grandmother's african violet. The violet even bloomed in celebration of its new home. I didn't want to make it traditionally 'cute', and my current favorite color is orange so I made it look like an overflowing paint pot. Plus, the orange goes great with purple flowers and velvety green leaves. date: 5/09
